Dr Gideon Adegbile graduated at Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia with Bachelors of Science (Cum Laude) in Biology and a minor in German. He obtained his medical degree at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee. He practiced Family Medicine in different settings for over forty years and has been a Medical Director in an Addiction Medicine Agency for more than thirty years. As part of his leadership experience, Gideon was Chief-of-Staff at Franciscan Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio; past President of the Montgomery County Medical Society; Dayton, Ohio; past Chair, Family Medicine Section of the National Medical Association (NMA); Member, House of Delegates of NMA; past Sire Archon of the Sigma Boule, Dayton, Ohio; Founder and past President of Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater Miami Valley, Dayton, Ohio; as well as a host of other leadership roles within professional organizations, church and the community.

Gideon has been on the faculty of Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, for over four decades as a Clinical Professor. In addition, Gideon is a member of several state and national social and medical organizations. Dr Gideon Adegbile and his wife, Dr. Funmilayo O. Adegbile, are blessed with four children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren to date.
