Funmilayo O. Adegbile, PhD, FIST, FCP

 

Funmi is an Associate Director within the Quantitative Sciences Global Capability Organization, Research & Development Corporate Functions, Procter & Gamble with responsibility for Clinical Science Innovation and Objective Clinical Measurement Platform.  Her areas of interest include biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug safety.  She was a National Research Council Resident Research Fellow at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research prior to a10-year tenure at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), FDA.  As Clinical Pharmacology & Biopharmaceutics Team Leader for the Division of Special Pathogens and Immunologic Drug Products, she contributed significantly to regulatory reviews and guidance development.  She was two-term chair, CDER Committee for Advanced Scientific Education and received several awards including CDER Director’s Special Citation and, FDA Outstanding Service Award. 

Funmi is a very active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology where she was past chair Honors & Awards Committee, currently chairs the Strategic Visions Committee, was member of the 2006 and 2012 Annual Program Committee and, is a long-term reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.  Funmi is a founding member and current President of the Nigerian Association of Pharmacists & Pharmaceutical Scientists in the Americas.  As adjunct professor, College of Pharmacy, University of Cincinnati, Funmi teaches a graduate program in drug development.  Funmi was Secretary and past Chair of the Indiana/Ohio Discussion Group of the Association of American Pharmaceutical Scientists.  Furthermore, Funmi is a member of the FDA Alumni International Network as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Warren County, Ohio.  Funmi is very passionate about people development via mentoring & coaching.
