Welcome to the heart of Agape Love Mission Foundation
In 4 short term medical outreaches, we have served over 4500+ people providing medical care, dental care, vision care, medicines and eye glasses at no cost at all to the people of Iree, Nigeria.
Agape Love Mission Foundation is focused on serving the healthcare and spiritual needs of the people of Iree, Nigeria through the services that we provide which address both their physical and spiritual needs. Our goal is to help to overcome barriers to medical access by providing much needed medical, dental, vision and pharmaceutical services along with spiritual care to those whom we have the honor of serving. With the support of our network of volunteers and partners, we aim to care for and serve people of all ages and ultimately foster a healthier community through the power of love and compassion.
The Healthcare Hurdle in Iree
In Iree, Nigeria, the struggle to access medical care is a harsh reality for many. Few healthcare facilities, lack of quality facilities, scarcity of medical professionals, and the high cost of medical care and other factors all create formidable barriers to maintaining and achieving good health and wellness for the people of Iree, Nigeria. This can often mean that one may not receive even the most basic of medical care which can lead to preventable illnesses becoming life-threatening health situations. Because of this, the individual, family and community face not only the physical toll of inadequate healthcare but also the mental, emotional, psychological and even economic strain and pressures that result. This can very severely negatively impact the quality of one’s life and future. We hope to positively impact this.
Our Mission: Provide A Beacon of Hope and Health
Agape Love Mission Foundation is determined to step in and to bridge this gap of inaccessible healthcare. We recognize the dire need for accessible healthcare in Iree. However, our mission goes beyond offering medical care alone. More importantly we desire to bring hope and sustainable healthcare solutions to a community that has gone without and has been neglected for too long. By providing healthcare including medical, dental, prescription and vision care, alongside spiritual ministry all at no cost to those who come to us, ALMF seeks to alleviate the immediate health concerns of the people of Iree, while working towards long-term improvements in the well being of individuals and the community. Our hope is that our efforts positively impact lives and offer a brighter and healthier future for the people of Iree, Nigeria.

How Agape Love Mission Foundation Got Started
Agape Love Mission Foundation started with an idea and dream in the mind of Dr Gideon Adegbile going back to the early 1980s, as well as the vision to be of service to people in his hometown of Iree. Agape Love Mission Foundation was started when Dr Adegbile felt the burden of knowing and seeing with his own eyes that quality medical care was not accessible nor affordable to the people of Iree. This became so overwhelming to him personally to the point that he was compelled to take action in order to do something about it.
About Dr Gideon Adegbile Founder of Agape Love Medical Missions
Agape Love Mission Foundation was founded by Gideon Sunday Adebisi Adegbile, MD, FAAFP
Dr Gideon Adegbile graduated at Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia with Bachelors of Science (Cum Laude) in Biology and a minor in German. He obtained his medical degree at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee. He practiced Family Medicine in different settings for over forty years and has been a Medical Director in an Addiction Medicine Agency for more than thirty years. As part of his leadership experience, Gideon was Chief-of-Staff at Franciscan Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio; past President of the Montgomery County Medical Society; Dayton, Ohio; past Chair, Family Medicine Section of the National Medical Association (NMA); Member, House of Delegates of NMA; past Sire Archon of the Sigma Boule, Dayton, Ohio; Founder and past President of Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater Miami Valley, Dayton, Ohio; as well as a host of other leadership roles within professional organizations, church and the community.
Gideon has been on the faculty of Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, for over four decades as a Clinical Professor. In addition, Gideon is a member of several state and national social and medical organizations. Dr Gideon Adegbile and his wife, Dr. Funmilayo O. Adegbile, are blessed with “four” children “eleven” grandchildren, and “four” great-grandchildren to date.

4 Medical mission Outreach
Free Glasses Given At Our Medical Missions
ALMF 2017 Mission Held October 9-13 2017
Our first medical Mission. With 4 physicians, 1 dentist and 10-12 local nurses, student nurses and medical assistants we were able to provide services to close to 750 people in 2017.
ALMF 2018 Mission Held October 8-12 2018
With 14 doctors, 6 Pharmacists, 2 dentists, several nurses, 2 lab scientists, coordinators, IT folks, and efficient clinical operations management team, we served 1,400 people.
ALMF 2019 Mission Held October 8-12 2019
With 10 Doctors, 3 Dentists assisted by 2 Dental Hygienists, 2 Pharmacists assisted by 10 people, 6 Lab personnel, 10 Nurses, 3 Spiritual Counselors, 4 IT people and over forty 40 other volunteers in various categories, we were blessed to touch 1,072 lives in approximately 4 days.
ALMF 2020 Mission Cancelled due to COVID
With momentum on our side, from the success we had experienced during our previous medical mission, Agape Love Mission Foundation was ready to go back to serve even more people in Iree, but was unable due to the pandemic and the travel restrictions resulting from Covid-19. However, we were able to provide the very much needed nutritional support to hundreds of elderly people and children of Iree in 2022.
ALMF 2023 Medical Mission Resumes Held Oct 7-10 2023
Once COVID travel restrictions were lifted, Agape Love Mission Foundation set thier hearts once again on returning to Iree to serve the people once again.
