2024 Agape Love Medical Mission Report
The 2024 Agape Love Mission Foundation (ALMF) medical mission to Iree, Osun State, Nigeria was from October 13 to October 18. We were blessed with several volunteers from various parts of Nigeria, United Kingdom (UK) and the United States of America (US). These volunteers include 14 Doctors, 6 Pharmacists, 12 Nurses, 5 Laboratory Technicians, 16 multi-discipline professionals engaged in various mission-critical activities, 2 IT people, 4 Evangelists and Media team, as well as key officers from the Iree Progressive Association (IPA) and the Premier Club. For the first time, we had an Ophthalmologist who performed in-depth evaluation of the eyes of over 100 people using our newly acquired Slit Lamp. Another interesting fact is that a total of 12 US-based and 2 UK-based professionals were among the volunteers this year.
As in previous years, several children and youths had a great time viewing the Jesus Film and other Biblical stories on devices provided by the volunteer from CRU, Campus Crusade for Christ during the mission.
To the glory of God, safety was not an issue due to answer to the prayers of all our supporters as well as the backing of the IPA in partnership with the Amotekun team, the town’s local security team and the Police team. We are also grateful to God for the overall wellbeing of all volunteers throughout the entire week.
The tremendous support from non-profit organizations such as FAME World, Dress-A-Girl, MAP International, Care Source of Dayton, ComfortFire Prophetic and Prayer Ministry, donors of clothes, toys, shoes, nutritional goods, and all our financial and spiritual partners are very highly appreciated.
Overall, we cared for over 1300 people during this year’s medical outreach. Indeed, we truly experienced God’s love for us as we attempted to extend such love to others.
